In general…

Career and Technical Education, which includes Family and Consumer Science classes, are designed to be relevant to the learner while integrating academic standards into highly participatory classes.  Classes are a combination of individual and group activities that promote learning through different techniques.  Technology, lab experiences, hands-on learning and project approaches are all basic parts of the curriculum. 

 

Graduation Requirements…

·        Health

·        Life Management Skills

Health is generally taken as a freshman.  There are two sections per year taught.

Life Management Skills is generally taken as a junior to accommodate Running Start schedules.  There are two sections per year taught.

 

Other classes from this department are not required for graduation but will help fulfill high school graduation requirement credits in areas of open or restricted electives.
