Course Description:

This course looks at various biological and agriculture processes. This class is designed to teach the scientific principles behind the production of food and fiber.  Agricultural science is a very broad discipline. This class concentrates on the scientific principles of the central components of the agriculture industry. The production of animals is central to fulfilling the need for food and fiber. Areas such as the environment, careers, food safety, and the future of agriculture are addressed.  A Supervised Agriculture Project and a record book will be required. Students will receive leadership training through the numerous FFA activities. There will be outside reading required.  A commitment to lab write-ups is necessary for science credit. This is a hands-on class where students are required to participate in many agriculturally related activities.
