Extra-Curricular Activity Opportunities:

Head High School Fastpitch Coach

The Dayton and Waitsburg School Districts are seeking qualified applicants for a new Dayton - Waitsburg Combine Head High School Fastpitch Coach for the 2020 season. A sincere interest in assisting young adults to learn about the game, develop sport specific skills in all participants, develop traits of good sportsmanship, healthy choices and excel at the game are all desired traits being sought for the new coach. Experience coaching and having competed in fastpitch is preferred. In addition, the head coach will be responsible for building a coaching staff that is cohesive and focused on maintaining a competitive fastpitch program. The season dates run from March 2, 2020 to May 30, 2020. Applicants must have met or be willing to meet WIAA Coaching standards prior to the start of the season. Interested candidates should submit a letter of application and complete a school district coaching application.

Assistant Middle School Track and Field Coach

The Dayton and Waitsburg School Districts are seeking qualified applicants for a new Dayton - Waitsburg Combine Assistant Middle School Track and Field Coach for the 2020 season. The position is responsible for working with students competing in throwing events for both high school and middle school students. A sincere interest in assisting young adults to learn about the techniques of each throwing event, develop sport specific skills in all participants, encourage traits of good sportsmanship and healthy choices all desired attributes being sought for the new coach. Experience coaching and having competed in track & field is preferred The assistant coach will work closely with the middle school and high school head coaches to coordinate practices and assist at track meets. The goal is to encourage participation, develop skills in a variety of events and prepare students for the next level of competition. The season is 12 weeks long and begins in March. Applicants must have met or be willing to meet WIAA Coaching standards prior to the start of the season. Interested candidates should submit a letter of application and complete a school district coaching application.
