MISSION STATEMENT

It is the mission of the Waitsburg School District to ensure for each student the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills, behaviors, and ability to learn which are fundamental to effective citizenship and personal fulfillment.  By becoming partners in the learning process, our students, parents, staff, and community will become successful life-long learners.  Our schools will provide the conditions necessary for success as citizens of the 21st Century.

GOALS FOR 2011-2012

  • Focus on increasing student achievement through the support of curriculum review in the areas of math, career and technical education and the arts.

  • Sustain local support of current curricular, extra-curricular and student activities and programs through running a successful two-year maintenance and operations levy.

  • Continue successful implementation of athletic combine with Prescott School District.

  • Prepare a Study and Survey of existing and proposed facility needs in accordance with WAC 392-241-030.

  • Continue to provide fiscal services and space to the Cardinals’ Nest (a 503c non-profit) outside of school program.
