Notice is hereby given that a Special Joint Board Meeting with the Waitsburg School Board and Dayton School Board will be held at 5:00 PM on Wednesday, June 29 in the Dayton High School Auditorium.  The purpose of the joint Board meeting is to discuss the DW Combine, which will remain a full Combine for the next school year. The Boards will discuss the items listed below and agree to terms for each item.  Following the joint meeting with Waitsburg, the Dayton School District will consider the renewal of Athletic Director Sam Korslund’s contract and the adoption of Resolution 2021-05 Administrative Reorganization for the 2022-2023 Fiscal Year.

3. 6th Grade participation will be at the discretion of the Superintendent based on             recommendations from the principals and athletic director.
4. The principals are required to attend each monthly Combine meeting.
5. The principals are in charge of discipline for their respective schools. They will             communicate with each other and the AD on major discipline violations, but the principals will decide the consequences, following state law, board policy, WIAA policy and the Athletic Code of Conduct.
6. The principals and athletic director will meet every other week to communicate on             discipline and other open issues. No one else will attend this meeting.
7. Transportation will be operated by the Dayton School District, but Waitsburg School             District will provide a bus for 50% of the practice and game needs.  
8. Dayton School District will complete the financials for the Combine. Waitsburg will             process the new employee paperwork for any non-Dayton School District employees       who are hired as coaches.
9. The Boards will meet jointly at least quarterly, starting September 2022.
10. The principal will report any open issues, good news or needs in regards to the athletics as part of their monthly school board report.
11. Dayton School District will provide the Athletic Director the needed financial information   and the Athletic Director will share that information as needed to the School Board.
12. Both School Districts will bill each other monthly for all bills that come in that month.

    1. “If there are members of the audience who wish to address the board on matters listed for action this evening – we invite you to do so at this time. We ask that members of the audience come forward to the podium so that your comments can be heard by our Zoom participants. The Board chair will then call for public comments from attendees via Zoom following our in-person participants. ” There is a three (3) minute time limit on comments.
