The Waitsburg School Board of Directors will hold an executive session during a special board meeting this Thursday, March 2nd at 5:00 PM to review and select the top finalists for the Waitsburg Superintendent/Elementary School Principal position. Using the input provided by community members in the “Waitsburg Superintendent Profile Survey” disseminated in early January, the school board will review and narrow down the list of applicants to the top 3-4 candidates who will move on to final interviews with the community and staff. During the March 2nd board meeting, the dates and times of the upcoming staff/community interviews will be finalized.
Waitsburg School District began its search for the district’s next Superintendent/Elementary Principal on January 13th. The application deadline closed last Friday, February 24th, and the board is pleased to have received a competitive candidate pool. On Monday, March 6th, we will announce the top candidates and the dates and times of the staff/community interviews, which are anticipated for the week of March 13th. Following these interviews, the school board expects to announce their selection of the successful candidate on Thursday, March 23rd. Waitsburg’s new incoming Superintendent/Elementary Principal will begin his/her first day on July 1, 2023.
