Parents and Guardians of Waitsburg 8th Grade Students:
We’re nearing the end of the 2022-2023 school year, and we’re excited to celebrate our annual 8th Grade Promotion Ceremony with your student on Monday, June 12 in the Waitsburg High School Auditorium at 7:00 p.m. Your 8th grader will participate in 9th grade orientation on June 6th from 1:45 to 2:45 p.m., hosted by our Waitsburg High School Associated Student Body Officers.
On Monday, June 12th, all 8th grade students should plan to be at school from 8:30 to 10:30 A.M. They will have their 1st period class as usual with Mr. Hansen. At 9:30, they will report to the WHS auditorium to practice for the promotion ceremony. At 10:30, all 8th grade students will be dismissed. Please make a plan with your student for their dismissal from campus at 10:30. They will not have afternoon classes and supervision will not be available for them.
On Monday, June 12 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., Preston Hall students will be participating in a field day at the football field. Eighth grade students are invited to attend and may choose to return to campus on June 12 at 1:00 p.m. to participate in the field day.
Please have your 8th grade student at Waitsburg High School at approximately 6:45 p.m. to prepare for the promotion ceremony, which begins at 7:00 p.m.
There will be no school for 8th grade students on Tuesday, June 13th.
