Waitsburg High School ASB is funding a high school ski day on Friday, January 20th!. The ASB is paying for the entire high school to attend!
Parents or students, please register your student online – this is an important first step requested by Ski Bluewood. Your student must be registered online or they may not attend. Students must be registered online by January 5.
If you do NOT need a rental, lift ticket, or lesson, talk to Mr. Kiefel. Students who have their own gear and lift ticket do not have to register. However, they need to contact Mr. Kiefel to get on the list.
If you DO need a rental, lift ticket, and/or lesson:
- Go to https://bluewood.whitepeakstechnologies.com
- Click on an orange tab that says "Group Registration"
- This will prompt you to enter a "Group Code"
- Your group code is: Waitsburg2023
- Fill in your information
- Please ignore the “pay group leader”, every student is FREE
Ski/Snowboard Ability:
- Never Ever: You have never skied nor snowboarded.
- Beginner Objective: Make round turns on green slopes.
- Advanced Beginner Objective: Make round turns on groomed blue slopes.
- Intermediate Objective: Make round turns on groomed black slopes.
- Advanced Objective: Make round turns on un-groomed slopes.
- Expert Objective: Make turns on modulus and/or in the trees.
Important:
- Arrive with proper clothing for a day of skiing: gloves, hat, snow pants, coat, socks, goggle or sun glasses, etc.
- Bus will leave at 8am from the back of the gym and will return at 3pm.
- Sign up for lunch just as you normally do each day or bring lunch from home.
- Please do not plan on the Ski Bluewood snack/cafeteria items as we cannot confirm that they will be providing service that day. However, if the cafeteria is open, students may purchase items.
- Students who do not participate may choose to use this day as a catch-up day. Some staff will be at the school, but not all teachers will be available. Students may choose to stay home as an excused absence.
